SubStation Alpha

SSA (SubStation Alpha) is the subtitle format used by the original SubStation Alpha software.

Like its successor ASS, it supports multiple lines on screen simultaneously and with optionally different styles, but the styling support is not nearly as advanced, and animation support is almost non-existant. [edit] Override tags

The following override tags are supported by the original SSA format:

- New line (soft)

• N - New line (hard)
• - Bold
• i - Italics
• fn - Font name
• fs - Font size
• fe - Font character set (encoding)
• c - Colour
• a - Alignment
• k - Karaoke
