Description (last modified by Plorkyeran)
Khmer unicode is a complex script. It display boxes instead, when Khmer unicode text is inputed into the translation assistant, style assistant, spellchecker, etc. A Khmer unicode font is already selected in options for the subtitle edit box and subtitle grid which display fine. It is as if the font used for popup tool windows is the default latin font instead of the Khmer unicode font. Same boxes appear when inputting Khmer unicode text into the actor edit box.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
If there is a way to change the font for these windows that should solve the problem. I reported a similar problem years ago for a unicode mp3 manager. The developer said something about the window using a monospace font. There are no monospace unicode Khmer fonts that I know of or even if it is possible. I am using winxp pro. Haven't tried on Vista which general works/display better with Khmer unicode. Other Indic script(Hindi) would probably have the same problem.

Making UI to select fonts for these elements will require changing strings, so it will have to wait until strings are unfrozen.
