Requesting a time shifting fuction like subresync.

Description

As far as I know there is only one method of shifting in aegis which is the offset time based method. It would be great to also have the type of shifting ability present in gabests "subresync" application, where you can shift be just changing one of the subtitles times to the new time of that line which in turn shifts all the other lines in relation to the offset of the original modified line.

Never used subresync but isn't this the same thing that "Timing->Shift to Current Frame (Ctrl+6)" already does?

Hum, when I asked if this type of function was available I was told it was not by aegis staff so being as I have never used that function and still use subresync to do the function I spoke of, I do not know.

If you have vobsub installed just open subresync and do a shift to verify.

Actually it is the same as shift to current frame (which I had completely forgotten about when I told getfresh there was no such function) but it would be nice if you could use it without opening video, too.

  • Milestone set to 2.2.0
  • Platform set to All

This should be implemented ASAP. I guess I'll try to take a look at it.

  • Milestone changed from 2.2.0 to 3.0.0

Bump 2.2.0 tickets to milestone:3.0.0 (2.2.0 is becoming 3.0.0)

This is certainly more reasonable to implement with the audio display rewrite, since it could be done simply as a new timing mode. The main issue would be how the UI for it should actually look and function, how it should be activated (and how to make it obvious the user is in a mode) and what lines to affect at what time.

Keeping the milestone for now.
