DirectSoundPlayer2 fails a lot on Windows 7

Description

For completeness, the well-known "Could not lock buffer for filling" error happening mostly on Windows 7 when using the new DirectSound audio player.

Bug was fixed in r3740 in the 2.1.8 branch. It needs to be ported up to trunk.

(Apparently there was never made a ticket on this bug.)

(In [3751]) Re-integrate r3740 from the 2.1.8 branch to fix the DirectSoundPlayer2 buffer locking bug.
